I've had PT here for a couple months for knee pain. When I walked in the front door everyone was so friendly and kind. The kindness from the front staff was a forefront for how wonderful the physical therapists were. They immediately set me up with a home exercise program so that I was able to follow up with the program on my own. There is much cohesiveness with the staff and they surpassed my expectations. Very rare to find a place like this that gives their heart to their patients. I would recommend for any one with musculoskeletal issues to try this facility. I feel like family when I come in the door.
All the therapists (at Water PT) are so very knowledgeable, professional and compassionate. Each of them really cares about the well-being of the patients.
A therapist is in the water with you for a whole hour, helping you through exercises designed to relieve pain and strengthen your whole body. Each visit I’m given pain relieving back adjustments that always leave me feeling 100% better than when I arrived.
I had three surgeries in the last two years and had all types of therapy without much success. I started aqua therapy seven months ago and it has been a game changer. The therapists here are dedicated, caring and involved with all aspects of my wellness. The therapy I receive not only helps my various physical conditions, it helps with my mindfulness. I strongly recommend this group for any of your therapy needs.
I have gained greater strength, more flexibility, greater range of motion, less pain, weight loss, and increase ease of walking.
My fatigue has lessened as my stamina has built up and I find many tasks much easier to do since I’ve begun the physical therapy. Getting in and out of the car is easier; standing for longer periods of time is possible…
After four months of work with Water PTS (six months after my initial operation), I had a follow up with my neurologist. His initial reaction was surprise. He commented that my fitness was at a level he was not expecting for 12 months.
I felt like a new woman! Not only was I blissfully PAINFREE, I felt happy, limber and energized, with enough clarity and empowerment to pursue my career goals with enthusiasm.
When I was evaluated and began attending three days a week at the beginning of January, I was using a cane and walking hesitantly. Within three weeks I was no longer using the cane and was becoming increasingly independent. This progress continued until I had my last session at the end of March.
I felt so much better at the end. The pain was so much less. I could turn my head and move in ways I hadn’t been able to move in months. I have learned to use muscles that I never knew I even had” I lost 40 pounds and am no longer overweight. I am even an inch taller. My muscles are strong. I am in a lot less pain. I am back working more than 40 hours a week and confident that the next five years will be better than the last.
I was surprised to realize that 80% of my pain level was reduced within two weeks, after four appointments only, and after one month I almost didn’t feel pain. I felt that some kind of miracle happened to me…
I can honestly say Water PT is as good as it gets; aquatic therapy is simply superior to land therapy. The staff immediately sets you at ease. Water PT Specialists engages you as a partner in your recovery. They also seem to attract an enjoyable group of patients which makes for a fun experience unlike the drudgery of a physical therapy mill you might see in an outpatient setting.
I have been semi-crippled for 10 years and have permanent disability. Thanks to the wonderful therapists at Water PT, I am walking short distances without my brace. They are truly amazing and dedicated physical therapists who specialize in finding what is most needed for each individual patient.
What sets Water PT apart is the caring and compassionate team and that the assistant and the therapists are in the water right next to you. They get to know you and customize your physical therapy care to fit your physical and emotional needs.
Your staff is wonderful, they are so knowledgable and compassionate. I understand more about how my body works than I have ever have before. When I came here, I was just hoping to be out of pain, but now I want to get well and feel inspired.
First, I hope this mail is shown or forwarded to the person or people who own this company.
Second I want to thank you for having such a professional and nice staff. All concerned. I am experiencing memory loss but I am grateful to Sandra, Ramsey, Zack, Miya, Glennis, and others for making PT fun, rewarding and getting results.
In the course of treatment for my knee arthritis I have been given a lot of Cortisone, sent to the worst and pricey rehab centers with awful PT personnel and achieved nothing. NOW WE’RE TALKIN BABY! YA FEEL ME?
I am not looking forward to my knee replacement surgery, but at least my body will be ready thanks to your staff.
THANK YOU AGAIN,
Dear Ms. Hawkins and Ms. Semmel,
I wanted to thank you personally for the outstanding staff you’ve assembled and the physical therapy techniques you employ at the Westchester YMCA. I must say, unfortunately, this was not the first-time I’d experienced this technique, but this time it was not only gratifying but much more of a rewarding experience than the one I had had 2 years ago at another facility.
I would also like to mention three people on your team that I want to particularly thank.
The first person is Iris Gomez who was very gracious and helpful in organizing the required paper work I needed for my therapy. At the onset of treatment, I was still teaching at Los Angeles Community College, in the middle of giving final exams as well as tending to all the other minutiae involved with the closing of a semester. As a result, I was somewhat scattered and forgetful about completing and returning certain required documents. Ms. Gomez handled my “delinquency” with professionalism and charm. Every new patient should have the opportunity to meet and work with her.
Secondly, the person who I only had the opportunity to work with twice, but whose assistance was very impactful; Ally Baraban. Her Yoga background as well as her special rapport contributed a great deal to our sessions.
Thirdly, I want to thank, the person who was assigned as my therapist, Danielle Quan. Under her intelligent and detailed guidance; I became pain free, my balance improved and the support muscles for my compromised knee strengthened. Danielle never failed to answer a question or follow up on a concern. She also never failed to inform me about the purpose of an exercise, and its long and/or short-range goals. But most importantly, she always made me feel as if the treatment was being designed particularly for my needs. Completely confident in her instruction, I allowed her to challenge me and my body and the rewards are now obvious. I cannot extoll this young woman enough. As an Educator and Executive Trainer, I must say that her qualities of confidence, respectfulness, warmth and intelligence are the stuff that leaders are made of. I predict a bright future for her and I am thankful to have had her as a therapist.
Finally, I was hesitant to begin therapy with your company because of the distance I had to travel to get there. May I say again, that it was worth every mile. Also, I will not hesitate to recommend your services to my doctor as well as to anyone that I know. Best Wishes and continued success.
