Meet the Water PT Team
Nancy Hawkins, MPT
Nancy has diversified physical therapy experience including orthopedic, pediatric, home health, and her favorite aquatic rehabilitation. She received her MPT from CSU Northridge in 1999. Nancy dedicated herself to aquatic physical therapy after discovering the healing properties of water due to a personal low back injury. After healing her own back in the water, she dedicated herself to working and sharing this with others. As co-owner of Water PT, Nancy has developed the reputation of being one of the most highly qualified aquatic therapists in the Los Angeles area.
Jessica was an avid swimmer and lifeguard throughout her youth and while attending New York University. A co-owner of Water PT, Jessica is also a licensed CPA and a certified massage therapist. She runs the business side of Water PT and assists in the pool. Jessica is thrilled to manage this amazing team and see the incredible benefits people receive from aquatic therapy.
Kelli Feland, Clinic Director
Kelli joined the Water PT family in 2015 and is our Clinic Director. She graduated from California State University, Fullerton with a degree in Kinesiology. She works closely with the owners to ensure that your experience at Water PT is enjoyable. She can assist you with all your administrative needs such as scheduling, billing, and any insurance questions you may have. In her free time, you will find her at Disneyland or curled up with a book and a cup of tea.
MAYA ZELCER, Culver City Site Coordinator
Maya has loved being in water her whole life. She grew up in Los Angeles and has been spoiled living near the beach. She received her bachelor’s of science degree in Molecular, Cell and Developmental Biology from UC Santa Cruz where she was also the captain of the water polo team, Go Banana Slugs! Maya has always been interested helping others through the rehabilitation process and started her professional healthcare journey by getting her EMT License. She has also been training in Watsu and has received her level one certification. Maya is not only an aide, but also takes part in many administrative duties.
ALLY BARABAN, Woodland Hills Site Coordinator
Ally is a PT Aide and Admin at Water PT. Ally attended SUNY Cortland in New York and graduated with a Bachelor's in Biology. Ally has had a life-long love for the water and It’s healing abilities. As a former collegiate swimmer, ocean lifeguard, surf therapy instructor and swim team coach she loves spreading her passion for the water with others. Ally has found a way to combine her love for the water and helping others at Water PT. In her spare time you’ll find her surfing at the beach or walking around in local nature trails.
